Composition
Each 5ml contains:
 

Terpeneless Dill water	2.14mg
Sodium bicarbonate	50.00mg
Ginger Tincture	0.368ml

Description

Gripe water is an antacid and carminative. Dill water is an aromatic carminative, especially in the treatment of flatulence in infants. Sodium bicarbonate neutralizes the acid secretion in the stomach with the liberation of carbon dioxide. After absorption it increases the alkali reserve of plasma and there is an increased excretion of urine, which is rendered less acidic.

Indications

For prompt and positive relief from wind pains, digestive upsets and the discomforts of teething.

Dosage and Administration

For a new born infant:                  Half a 5ml spoonful

One to six months old:                  One 5ml spoonful

Six months to 1 year old:              Two 5ml spoonfuls.

Two years and above:                  Two to three 5ml spoonfuls.

These doses may be given during or after each feed or up to 8 times in 24 hours.
