Description
Calamine lotion is a thick pink coloured suspension indicated for
the cooling and soothing of the skin in conditions such as rashes,
stings, insect bites and other skin conditions such as measles and
pruritis.
Indications
Calamine lotion has a cooling and soothing effect on the skin.
Useful in some conditions of the skin involving eruptions such as
measles because of its astringent property. It gently relieves the
discomfort of rashes, stings, insect bites and other similar skin
conditions such as measles. Useful for allaying the swelling and
pain due to sunburn. It also has protective properties on the skin
due to conditions caused by measles and chicken pox.
Dosage and Administration
Apply to the affected parts with the help of cotton wool or any
suitable applicator.
